Mental Well-Being in Times of Unrest

Weez Project Hong Kong

Social and political unrest create uncertainty, and concerns about the future, as we are seeing with the anti-extradition bill protests in Hong Kong. We may feel new or exaggerated emotions as a result; fear, anxiety, low mood and more. It’s important to protect your mental well-being in such times. Talking with a friend or family member about how you’re feeling enables you to unbottle your emotions, and allows them to do the same. Make time too to do things you enjoy, away from all the tension; spend time outside, go for a walk, or relax with music or a book.
